Road conditions
The Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA) - Vegagerðin
The IRCA has a live map of current road conditions, which is very useful for people driving around the country. Open the link and click Iceland to zoom in on a region for more detail.

TIP: The number one rule for driving in snow or ice is DO NOT slam on the breaks!
Live Webcams
Webcams can give insight into the current weather and road conditions. This map has still pictures of roads taken within the last 10-20 minutes. Roads can become impassable when there is a lot of snow that hasn't been cleared.
